About Us
Our Story
As a little girl, I have always looked at Volkswagen buses in awe of how fun they are. They’ve always been so colorful and full of life. When I see one, I can’t help but think about the stories that bus could tell.
A few years ago, my fiancé and I purchased our first 1970 VW bus. It was delivered to a Taco Bell parking lot because we were living in an apartment at the time. The battery was dead, it was literally a rust bucket, and we lovingly named her Bluey. Bluey is a work in progress and going to be a much bigger project than what we had the time and funds for.
Fast forward a few weeks, and we found a 1976 bus that was in much better cosmetic condition—this became our ticket into the venture we’re on today and the start of the transformation of our bus. There is something truly special about taking a 49-year-old vehicle that might have otherwise sat in a shop or barn, rusting away, and giving it a brand-new purpose. Today we celebrate Lavendar's Golden Jubilee.

Meet the owner
Hi! I’m Alexandra, the owner behind the business. I bring years of hands-on experience in events and bartending, which has shaped my passion for creating memorable, well-run experiences and connecting with people from all walks of life.
By day, I’m a middle school science teacher, where I’ve learned the value of patience, organization, and adaptability—skills that translate seamlessly into business ownership. I earned my undergraduate degree in Entrepreneurship and am currently aspiring to complete a graduate degree in mental health, combining my love for people, growth, and leadership.
Outside of work, I’m engaged to my fiancé, David, and spend my free time with our yellow lab, Wrigley. I love traveling whenever possible and cherish time spent with my family. I truly believe there’s very little I can’t do—which is both a blessing and a curse—and that mindset has fueled my lifelong dream of owning my own business. I’m incredibly grateful that dream has finally become a reality.
